The sea spinach/beet/ancient chard is the wild ancestor of common vegetables such as chard, beetroot, sugar beet. It most resembles a chard and is also referred to as wild spinach or Sea Spinach. It is perennial and produces seed and will make wonderful addition to any food forest or home garden. Get your wild greens year after year with this ancient wild vegetable that is found growing along the cost of Scotland and England.
