A. cepa aggregatum group. This is the tropical cousin of the I'Itoi Bunching Onion.  These perennial bunching onions can grow in hot and humid conditions, which makes them unique, they are not cold hardy.  They often will go dormant during the hottest summer months and then produce the rest of the year.  Can be used a bunching green onion or dug up and used as a small onion or shallot. They are one of the quickest to mutilply and divide allowing one plant to be quickly divided every three months.  A forever green onion, though it is of tropical origin, it has done well in our trials in both Oakland and Sacramento Ca during late winter, spring, and summer.  More updates will be posted after winter 2026.

Pot Size: 4in pot

Plant Size: clump 3inches-9 inches tall (varies by time of the season)

USDA Hardiness:8-10 (maybe colder).
