California Wild Grape

California Wild Grape (Vitis californica) is a beautiful strong growing deciduous vine with large grape like leaves. Often used as a rootstock for wine grapes and its ornamental qualities make it good for covering a barren slope, bare fence or trunk of a large tree. Has numerous small bunches of juicy blue grapes adored by wildlife and good for fresh eating, juice, jellies and wine. Native throughout most of California and southern Oregon it is drought tolerant and disease resistant. Hardy zones 7-9.
