Capulin Cherry

The Capulin Cherry also known as the Tropic Cherry, is a disease-resistant, semi-evergreen subtropical species that’s native to the highlands from Mexico to Guatemala. This variety is a high-yielding tree that produces glossy maroon to dark purple cherries that's roughly about 1/2 to 3/4 inch in diameter. The Capulin Cherry ripens late spring through mid-summer resulting in having a juicy fruit with a sweet and subtly tart, making it perfect for fresh eating, to make jams, and flavorful teas.
