Northern highbush. Latest of all varieties, extending season into September. Very strong grower, heavy producer. Upright, vigorous bush. Very resistant to both phases of mummy berry. Tends to over-produce requiring adequate annual pruning to retain fruit size and plant growth.

Large, firm, flavorful fruit that does not drop or crack. Tart flavor. Disease resistant. Excellent shelf life (30-45 days refrigerated). Very suitable for CA storage. Beware not to pick early - turns blue before ripe.

Considered standard late-season variety for decades. Excellent choice for growers wanting to fill late-season fresh market niche when all other varieties finished. Can be machine harvested well in warmer areas. Tolerates hot summers if soil kept moist. Popular despite drawbacks - growers rated lowest in fruit flavor. Elliott is actually one parent of Arlen (replaced by Arlen in some plantings due to Elliott's water stress sensitivity). Long-time standard late cultivar now being challenged by Aurora which ripens 5 days later.
