Gala Apple

The Gala Apple is a yellow-red striped fruit that has very sweet, crisp, juicy, fine textured flesh. Excellent summer dessert apple ripening around late August here. Keeps well and is a vigorous and productive annual-bearing tree. From New Zealand. This apple needs less than 500 chill hours and is hardy in Zones 4-10. Considered self-fruitful.
