Hollywood Plum

Introduced commercially in 1936. Very delicious fruit ripens in late June and hangs well on the tree. The fruit is oh, so beautiful!! Skin polishes to a vibrant lipstick-red, and the inner flesh is a glowing sunset pink/orange/red. Good for jelly and canning. This purple/red-leafed tree has upright growth habit, and will add texture and visual diversity to any garden. Prized for its ornamental value as well as for its fruit, Hollywood features profuse, showy pink blossoms, dark purple foliage, and abundant crops of large, dark red plums with juicy, richly flavored, deep red flesh. One of our favs!
