McKenzie Aronia aka McKenzie Chokeberry (Aronia melanocarpa) bares heavy production of large clusters of purple-black berries hang into the fall from strong growing super hardy bushes that can grow up to 10 feet tall and wide. Loaded with anthocyanins and other healthful nutrition the berries are excellent for juice and jam production. Gorgeous red fall color and beautiful white flowers in the spring makes it a great easy to grow landscape plant. This variety was developed by the USDA plant breeding program in North Dakota originally as a windbreak and wildlife forage conservation plant, and after extensive trials released to the public in 2008. Hardy zones 3-8
