Northern highbush blueberry with vigorous upright open, lightly spreading growth form. Strong, productive plants. Very hardy for cold climates.

Medium-large to large, medium-blue berries. Excellent flavor, described as sweet with a hint of acid. One of the more flavorful northern highbush varieties recommended for New Hampshire home gardens. Good productivity and berry quality make it a reliable choice for fresh eating.

Introduced 1971 by Professor Elwyn Marshall Meader (1910-1996) from the University of New Hampshire Agricultural Experiment Station in Durham, New Hampshire. Named after its legendary breeder, one of the most prolific and beloved plant scientists of the 20th century.
