Compact, ornamental blueberry with a dense, spreading growth habit. White, bell-shaped flowers in spring, self-fertile. Glossy green abundant foliage turning attractive red and orange in fall, holding color well. Compact rounded form makes it ideal for shrub borders, specimen planting, or edible landscapes. Thrives in full sun to part shade. Requires acidic (pH 4.5-5.5), moist, well-drained, organically rich soil. Tolerates wet soils better than many blueberries. Attracts pollinators. Low maintenance once established.

Dark blue, highly ornamental edible berries. Very small fruit size, so diminutive that many regard this primarily as ornamental with berries best left for birds as they're too fiddly to pick for human harvest. Sweet flavor when consumed. Many blossoms in spring followed by numerous tiny berries. Fruit attractive but impractical for significant harvest due to extremely small size.

Developed at North Carolina State University as part of the ornamental blueberry breeding program. Useful in residential landscapes where ornamental qualities (compact size, prolific bloom, excellent fall color, attractive berries) are primary consideration with edible fruit as secondary bonus. Best suited for gardeners prioritizing aesthetics over harvest volume.
