Growth habit similar to standard highbush blueberries. Pink-fruited novelty variety representing unusual ripe fruit coloration of interest to landscape nursery business. Fruiting buds not especially hardy, leading to unreliable fruit set in cold climates. Better adaptation expected in milder regions similar to southern highbush growing areas. Requires acidic soil (pH 4.5-5.5), moist but well-drained. Self-fertile but benefits from cross-pollination. Ornamental value includes spring flowers and unique pink berries, though less reliably productive than standard cultivars

Pink-colored berries when fully ripe (darker pink than 'Pink Lemonade'). Fruit generally relatively low in acid, sometimes approaching bland but often delicately and pleasantly flavored. Sweeter than blue blueberries according to grower observations. Higher antioxidant content than standard blue blueberries.

Developed by Dr. Arlen D. Draper, USDA Agricultural Research Service Fruit Laboratory, Beltsville, Maryland. Cross made by Draper: G-132 × 290-1. Formally released 2005 simultaneously with 'Pink Lemonade' (ARS 96-138).
