Seneca Plum

Large, attractive prune shaped fruit has redish-purple skin and yellow flesh. Firm, sweet, freestone fruit resists cracking and ripens midseason and is excellent for eating fresh, or canning. An annual bearing and upright growing tree, it needs another variety for pollination. Introduced in 1972 by the New York State Experiment Station. 800 chill hours. USDA Zones 4-9.
