Variety from Uzbekistan, named for capital city Tashkent. Large squat figs common in local markets. May be synonym for Uzbek Yellow. Slow-growing variety. Yellow skin and yellow pulp giving bright beautiful appearance throughout.

Common self-fertile fig with distinctive all-yellow coloring (skin and pulp). Sweet, juicy honey-flavored pulp. Large squat-shaped fruits. Unique appearance among fig varieties for consistent yellow coloring both inside and out.

From Tashkent, Uzbekistan where enjoyed by locals in markets. Introduced to US fig community relatively recently. Generates interest for unique coloring but patience required due to slow growth rate. Available through specialty nurseries.
