Wild Walking Garlic (Meadow Garluic)

Allium canadense

These seasonal, perennial wild garlic flavored allium are a great wild edible  Also known as meadow garlic. Very reliable yearly and spread on their own terms over time.  These plants set top bulbs to grow new plants from and not seeds like most garlic. Both the whole plant and the top bulbs when present are fully edible. Bottom bulbs are around the size of pearl onions.  They go dormant in summer and fall and emerge in late fall/winter
