Northern highbush released 1952. Most widely grown and reliable variety in the world. Vigorous upright growth. Standard against which all other varieties are compared. Comprises over 25% of Michigan blueberry acreage. Easy to establish with very few problems. Tolerates wide range of soil pH and hot weather better than most. Produces 9-10 flowers per bud.

Medium to large, bright blue berries that are firm and grow in large clusters. Superb flavor fresh or frozen. Resistant to cracking and dropping. Can be tart or show "red back" if picked too early.

Developed with four parents: Stanley, Jersey, Pioneer, and one other. Extensively used as parent for developing Southern Highbush varieties. Became industry standard by 1960s and remains most important cultivar globally. Suitable for both fresh and processing markets, mechanical harvest.
