Rabbiteye variety released 1950s. Late ripening. Semi-dwarf. Most widely planted blueberry in Southeast for decades. Moderately susceptible to blueberry gall midge. Best pollinated with Centurion, Powderblue, or Brightwell.

Large, round, light blue berries that are very firm and sweet. Stays good on plant for days. Excellent quality.

Most productive of all rabbiteye varieties. Became foundation of southeastern blueberry industry. Produced 19.2 lb per plant in 2024 trials - highest yielding variety tested. Long-popular standard proving old cultivars often justified in their standing. Disease resistant. Partially self-fertile but benefits from cross-pollination.
