Turkish Rocket

Turkish Rocket aka wartycabbage is a very hardy perennial in the brassica family. The young florets can be harvested and cooked like a broccolini with a more spicy mustard flavor. Mid-season yellow flowers attract all sort s of beneficial insects. Young leaves and shoots can also be eaten. Said to be deer proof, though not tested by us. Hardy to zone 4 and up and huge tap root from which future plants can be propagated from. Once its established its not going anywhere and can be considered weedy in some parts of the world (seeds require cold stratification for 3 months to germinate though).
