Lionel joined Planting Justice in 2024. He is an Oakland native, born and raised locally in the amazing town of Oakland! His mission is to beautify Oakland through the dedicated efforts of Green Works, enhancing the local ecological and air quality through hands-on gardening with Planting Justice.
Lionel looks forward to working with Planting Justice to further promote growth and environmental sustainability for Oakland through grassroots efforts. By engaging in community-driven projects and educational initiatives, he aims to inspire others to join in the movement towards a greener, healthier, and more vibrant Oakland. Together, they can make a lasting impact on the local environment and create a more sustainable future for all.
